Plan and Problem Solve Self Assessment 3

If you score is between 18-24 this means you take the extra time to map out a path for your development as an athlete.  Your map includes the long term goals you want to achieve as well as the benefits and reasons “why” you play your sport.  You can see the relationship between achieving daily, weekly and monthly goals and your ultimate goals.

Athletes who excel in this area have a process for measuring success that is not entirely dependent on the outcome of what they do.  In competition they are able to see that the work they have done and the process they have followed has led to success regardless of the outcome.

In order to improve in this area you may need to find more process rather than result oriented goals and find ways to make them more challenging.
